Universidad de Valladolid
The University of Valladolid (UVA) was founded in 1241. It is one of the most ancient Universities in Spain and it has almost 800 years of tradition and innovation at the same time.
One of the key aspects of UVA is its international cooperation combined with a Strong Regional Presence: Our University is one of the largest providers of University Education in
regional Castilla y León. 23,000 students (54% female) coming from rural and regional areas as well as from other parts of Spain and from all over the world. It has a close
engagement with regional industries, with the Government bodies and the local community, supporting regional industry and economics including the application of research strengths
in regional and rural Castilla y León with an important Technology Park in Boecillo, 15km from Valladolid. Uva has four Campuses in different cities of Castilla and Leon (Valladolid,
Palencia, Segovia and Soria) which makes it easier to spread our Education facilities and opportunities to a broad number of students in different cities of our region, with an
International central office and an office in each faculty to allow faculties to develop a strategy to meet their specific needs. The University of Valladolid is the 2nd Spanish University in terms of approved Erasmus+ KA107 in 2020 (373 mobilities to 49 countries) Every year around 1500 foreign students come to UVa with Erasmus and international mobilities while
1200 UVa students stay as mobility student or interns abroad.
